iPads for Autism
April is Autism Awareness Month and we are accepting applications for our Annual “iPads for Autism” Program.
Through this program, Aspen Speech Therapy will give away one iPad Mini to an individual living with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The 16GB iPad Mini will come equipped with applications to facilitate learning and communication for children living with Autism as well as an iPad Mini case and two free training sessions on the device.
Our goal is to increase awareness of Autism and Autism Awareness Month in our community and transform someone’s life by awarding them with a device that will help with communication.
“Speech Generating Devices (SGD) have proven to be tremendously helpful with training children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder on how to communicate,” says Kristi Kelly M.S., CCC-SLP and owner of Aspen Speech Therapy. “With increased technology, there are now apps that are specifically dedicated to speech therapy and communication. We are so excited to help transform someone’s life and increase awareness of Autism in our community!”
Is someone you care about living with Autism Spectrum Disorder?
Apply for the iPad giveaway and let us help make communicating a little easier:
Congratulations to the 2015 iPads for Autism Recipient, Eliza!
Eliza was the first winner of our annual iPad Grant Program.
Eliza is 4-years-old and was recently diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and although her verbal skills are high, she has communication challenges.
Eliza’s family raises their 4 children on one income and extra expenses like an iPad is never an option for them. We are thrilled to award the Eliza with a device that will transform her and her family’s life and raise awareness of Autism in our community.
Congratulations Eliza and good luck with your new iPad!
