Speech Therapy

Aspen Speech Therapy, owned by Fort Collins local Kristi Kelly, provides innovative speech therapy to patients of any age that are seeking to improve their quality of life. Specializing in dysphagia, cognitive and language disorders related to neurological impairments or injury, voice problems and other speech therapy related issues, Aspen Speech Therapy is the only private practice in Northern Colorado trained in performing Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES).

Accent Modification

Accents can sometimes make it hard for you to talk with other people. People may not understand you or you may get frustrated because you have to repeat yourself. With hard work and practice, you can learn how to change the way you say words. It can be hard to change your accent on your own. A speech-language pathologist, or SLP, can help.

Telepractice

Support – when and how you need it. Telepractice is the application of telecommunications technology to the delivery of speech language pathology services at a distance by linking clinician to client or clinician to clinician for assessment, intervention, and/or consultation.

Colorado Institute of Stuttering

In 2017, Aspen Speech Therapy opened the Colorado Institute of Stuttering, bringing to Colorado the only stuttering specialist outside of the Denver area. Led by Lee Caggiano, a board recognized specialist in fluency disorders, Lee has developed and coordinated workshops to treat stuttering for more than 20 years.

The Colorado Institute of Stuttering operates out of the Loveland office at 1440 W. 29th St., Suite 400.

Swallowing Diagnostic & FEES

Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) is a well-established technique that has revolutionized the field of dysphagia diagnostics. FEES is a sensitive, accurate, portable, and safe examination that yields clinically useful information relative to swallowing physiology and swallowing safety.

I just wanted to let you know about a special moment with my daughter last night. She was struggling with her “r’s” and he really helped her out. Last night she said “drip” very nicely in conversation and I complimented her. She said “I really miss Justin. He was so nice and really helped me.”

I have a caregiver who has been dealing with her husband's progressive aphasia and dementia for some time. They have been to several clinicians over the past couple of years that has resulted in very little help. This past week they saw Allie at your Greeley clinic and left feeling like someone understood the diagnosis and gave the caregiver and her husband helpful strategies and tips. This caregiver went from being emotionally distraught two weeks ago to now feeling encouraged and hopeful.

I can’t express enough how much Roxanne has helped me understand and teach my little one. Her speech has progressed so much from the beginning. Not only does Roxanne speak English but Spanish as well! In our household, Spanish is our main language. It’s amazing that she can help us in both languages! Every time we see Roxanne she always has the best attitude and a smile on her face.
